Signing up for a blog:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Your blog is where you will turn in all your assignments for the semester. Expect to upload a new set of images every day.<\/p>\n

    Go to\u00a0create.twu.ca<\/a> and click the green “Sign up here!” button\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Read the privacy page and agree\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Walk through the simple tutorial on how to register for a site and register for a site<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Send an email to the instructor including the URL for your site.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Guidelines for wordpress posts<\/b><\/h4>\n

    1. Take GOOD photographs of your work.<\/b> Include one with you with the work. Here are some tips on photographing your work with a smartphone <\/span>https:\/\/willkempartschool.com\/how-to-photograph-your-paintings-with-your-iphone\/<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Sign in to your Wordpress site<\/b> and go to the dashboard<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Click on Posts and Add New. <\/b>Enter a title for your post. <\/b>Personalize this and make it something more interesting than “Ideation Worksheet.” Think of the title as a “mini-reflection” on the assignment. For example it could be \u201cAn experiment in paying attention\u201d but I\u2019m sure you can come up with more interesting titles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Add your images. <\/b>Click \u201cAdd Media\u201d and drag and drop your image files into the media library. Checkmark all the images that you want to include in your post, set the image size to “Large”<\/strong> and click \u201cInsert into Post.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0You can add additional reflections or comments here if you like.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Add sr-studio<\/span> category. <\/b>Under categories click \u201cAdd New Category\u201d and enter \u201csr-studio\u201d to create the sr-studio category. Checkmark the sr-studio category. Once you\u2019ve made the sr-studio category you don\u2019t need to do it again. Next time you post you can just select it from the list.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Add the project category. <\/b>You will need to make a new category for each project post. Click \u201cAdd New Category\u201d and enter \u201creflection\u201d or whatever the project is that you are categorizing (it\u2019s specified at the beginning of each project.) Checkmark the project category.
      <\/span>Note: It is VERY important that the category spelling is IDENTICAL to what is listed on the project outline or the post will not be fed onto the course site. No extra spaces, no different punctuation, no \u201c_\u201d instead of \u201c-\u201d Double check your categories to ensure they are accurate.<\/b><\/li>\n
    7. Set a Featured Image. <\/b>Below categories you will see the \u201cFeatured Image\u201d option. Click \u201cSet Featured Image\u201d to select an image. I suggest you choose the strongest image from the project as this will show up on our class gallery page.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Click publish.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

      Your digital portfolio won’t be assessed officially this semester, however it is in your best interest to set it up and begin populating the following categories now to save you time next semester.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
