I like reflective questions that challenge me to apply new concepts to personal examples.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most influential people that set the ground work for my entire practice as a Registered Nurse was a Licence Practical Nurse that I developed a strong connection with after graduating from nursing school.  There wasn\u2019t a characteristic of servant leadership that she didn\u2019t model.  She showed empathy and care to everyone, her communication skills were impeccable and her presence was healing for those around her.  Her clinical knowledge of nursing and how to provide quality holistic care to patients and families was something I will never forget.  This woman was always committed to the growth of people and building a cohesive community, who were united in their goals.  As a professional, and on a personal level I was changed by our relationship and her emergent leadership capacity.
