For such a well known historical leader, he is not someone that comes up often in my work or personal life very often, so it was nice to be reminded about just how much he was “a leader of impeccable character and personal resolve” (Vacher, 2018). What I found most impressive, however, was your ability to use the current state of affairs in the United States as a comparable without making it an overly political post. You definitely made a strong contrast, while focusing on Lincoln’s strengths as a leader.

I also wanted to acknowledge the personal touch in your post. Attaching those few pictures and the brief description of visiting the Lincoln Memorial tied everything together for me, and I found it to be much more meaningful.

To answer your question, yes I do have to use specific habits to increase charity and subdue malice toward others. The most common that I seem to use is that is one of self-awareness. I find that when I am present in a situation, focusing on the person or people I am interacting with, is when I am able to fully engage. This allows me a greater self-awareness, which leads to a stronger connection with my feelings.

Daneen

Reference

Vacher, C. (2018, November 3).
