Response to “A Perspective on the Influence of TSL on the Strategic Process || BT1”

See the original post here!

I enjoyed reading your post! It was very insightful, and it seems as though you have a firm grasp on the subject at hand. TSL is something new for me, so I appreciate your insights.

I want to respond to your concluding paragraph where you say, “A TSL should apply the same critical thinking skills they use in the development of people at the higher organizational level.” While I completely agree with it, I also find myself asking the question, “what if the wrong person is in the position?” What if the individual who, we think, should be a TSL isn’t, however, they’re in a position of power within the organization and can affect the lives of those in the organization? I don’t want to come across as cynical because I’m not – I’m just playing the devil’s advocate. I say this because we’re all fallible and fallen people, regardless of position.

Again, I appreciate your thoughts and your insights and look forward to reading your other posts.

  1. Hi Daniel (This is not a formal post response!) – Just wanting to understand more. What wrong position are you referring to? The leader is in the wrong position or the follower is in the wrong position? Are you asking what would happen if the leader (formal position leader) is not a TSL?
