I would like to build on the argument related to the focus of NPO which according to the post aimed to do good works but failed to offer accountability in areas such as finances and people development. Besides, many organizations fail to understand that it takes the commitment to people served (NPO&#8217;s focus), the fulfillment of the needs of people doing the works (servant leadership) to make an organization successful (transformational leadership).<\/p>\n<p>Ungerer, G. Ungerer &amp; Herholdt (2016) give a living example of this strategy. A Starbucks employee demonstrated an act of compassion towards a client. Her action moved the senior executive member of the corporation who flew to meet her and acknowledge the way she embodied the values of the organization. Through the example, the community received service, and the employee received positive emotional reinforcement which is a growth factor and the organization reputation enhanced.<\/p>\n<p>Non-Profit Organization often \u00a0&#8220;muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain&#8221; (1 Tim 5:18. ESV ); they failed to recognize that wages alone do not bring job satisfaction nor service to the community equate employees&#8217; retention.
