I believe both are necessary for a company to be successful. Short term goals allow the employees to have an achievable accomplishment. Long-term goals create an accomplishment that people can aspire to. Senge’s model goes through the five steps which are team learning, mental models, systems thinking, shared vision and personal mastery. I found a good table to demonstrate the disciplines I have posted below.

In my current role, I know we have a shared vision as a team. I think we would benefit from team learning and integrated thinking systems. Right now, our team is currently quite new and we are getting to know each other. I think building a learning organization would help us to be a more cohesive team. Have you seen any benefits to incorporating Senge’s model into your workplace? Are there things that your company is currently doing where you see room for improvement? I find Senge’s model to be a very effective collaborative model that supports the ongoing learning that happens within healthcare.

References:
Table retrieved from: https://www.toolshero.com/management/five-disciplines-learning-organization

Response to Kunal 3.1 Senge’s Five disciplines Hi Kunal, Senge’s five disciplines are a quick way to identify gaps in any organization.
