Hi Ruiz, thank you for your post. In reading your words I can relate to being satisfied with meeting a goal being short lived. I find myself always looking ahead to the next goal and the next goal. Materialistic lust I feel is a product of living in today\u2019s society. In the digital storm of social media marketing, it is almost impossible to not give in to materialism. I am constantly convicted of this. What I have learned is when I compare myself to others, I become miserable and withdrawn. The feelings of not being good enough, of not doing enough to succeed well up within me.<\/p>\n
Marquis\u2019s words are a reminder to stop looking outside of ourselves in material things for contentment. Being grateful for and appreciating the things we do have without comparison is where contentment lies. When we put too much value on possessions and let those items define us it is a problem of our own making.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
