Hi, Sally I like you, work in an industry that is for and about people. Building collaborative relationships are how we create efficiencies within the organization. In my organization, we also invest in developing our people and making sure they are the best they can be. We do that by creating a supportive environment. I agree that a positive work environment directly influences everyone and affects productivity. I resonated with what you stated about change behavior.<\/p>\n
Currently going through some hurdles to change behavior in my department right now. Once again, I am finding myself met with resistance. I am trying my best to be a model of the change I want to see in others. I am a firm believer in our perception is our reality. I like Kunal have some issues with self-regulation and self-management. In my experience, it works to a point. When some employees are given too much room to self-manage, I have seen them take advantage of it, and work falls through the cracks.<\/p>\n
I appreciate what you say about change effectiveness. Currently, I had an ongoing project and had to make a last-minute decision that meant changing the people involved in the project. It was tough to do. Looking back, changing the project leads, was a great decision as the results show I made the right call. Goals were not being met and now they are accomplished. I believe that being an effective leader means recognizing when things aren\u2019t going well and reallocating work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
