HI EVERYONE,<\/p>\n
My name is Joy Ibomor an international student from Nigeria. I am married to my love Kelvin and we have no kids yet. I have my mum, who is my best friend and 3siblings. All of them have encouraged me\u00a0to take up this course and very much happy for me, knowing how leadership roles have been part of my whole life journey.\u00a0I am delighted about this next stage of my life and happy to be part of MA LEAD summer start, 2018 class. I have done two courses so far, Ldrs500 and Ldrs591.\u00a0<\/span>My core values are Honesty, Integrity, Love, Forgiveness, Service, Quality. In everything I do in life I embrace Grace and that\u2019s why I have come this far. I am a child God and I am whom He said I am. I am very adventurous with food, cultures, new things, and travels. Joy loves shoes, I have a shoe camera on my forehead. And that’s the first thing I notice whenever I meet someone. I am still trying to figure out why I am like that.<\/span><\/p>\n I am a lawyer, In the area of Corporate laws, conflicts management & resolution, public policy, and human right practice. I am also an entrepreneur. My love for nice comfortable shoes led me to create my own flip-flops brand (Jp\u00f3sh). I had my first degree in Banking & Finance from Nigeria, my second degree in Law from the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n In respect to strategic leadership, My first job after my first degree in BAA Banking & Finance was as an Assistant sales manager, where I supervised sales and worked directly with the Human\u00a0Resources\u00a0Manager and got engaged in recruiting, interviewing and Human management. I have been engaged in so many Advocacy Programme Assistant along with my career at so many Organizations and Ministries. Similarly, I worked as the Assistant Head of the Protocol Department House on The Rock Ministry, over welfare, prayer & counselling, hospitality, where I also emerged as the Woman Leader of the department. I believe I had practiced strategic leadership successfully without knowing I was(hahaha) but could not title or put a name “strategic Leadership” on my progress then.<\/p>\n As a lawyer, I love advocating for and solving people\u2019s problems. I have been in positions to manage our family businesses and ventured into entrepreneurship. However, this is why becoming a strategic leader is very important to and why I love this course, all this prompted the many core reasons why I enrolled for MA LEAD, to have a clearer understanding about leadership, to learn how to improve my leadership skills, Values and to gain an edge of leadership as an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n I look forward to expanding my values and learning from all of you.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" HI EVERYONE, My name is Joy Ibomor an international student from Nigeria.
