See the schedule below for the reading and the due date for each post.<\/p>\n<p>Obtain a copy of:<br \/>\nWatson, L.E. (1951). <em>Light from Many Lamps<\/em>. New York: Simon and Schuster. *Available from Amazon in new editions.<\/p>\n<p>Due end of week 2: Choose any story from <strong>part one or two of the anthology<\/strong>, read and savour its message and prose. (Don&#8217;t worry about critically analysing it). Write a 2-3 paragraph response in your blog that:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>identifies the leadership lesson the reading tells;<\/li>\n<li>explains its impact\/relevance to <em>your life and practice<\/em> of leadership in your context<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Before you publish your post, make sure you add it to the category &#8216;LDRS500&#8242; and tag it with \u2018Light from Many Lamps\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In the week following submission, review some of your colleagues&#8217; blogs and respond to two.<\/p>\n<p>For the remaining posts in the assignment, respond to the same points for content indicated below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due end of week 4:  <strong>part three or four of the anthology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Due end of week 6:   <strong>part five or six of the anthology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Due end of week 8:  <strong>part seven or eight of the anthology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Due end of week 10:  <strong>part nine or ten of the anthology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Assessment<\/h5>\n<p>Marks will be awarded by the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p>3 points. Exceptionally well-reasoned, compelling development of position. Outstanding incorporation of personal vision as well as of references and resources. Strikingly appropriate examples.<\/p>\n<p>2-2.5 points. Competent development, but possibly with some gaps and\/or limitations. Satisfactory incorporation of personal vision. Satisfactory examples. Reasonable insight, analytic and evaluative ability. Little creativity. Generally satisfactory style and language usage, but possibly with some minor flaws.<\/p>\n<p>1.5 points. Unimpressive development. Examples are basic or not completely convincing or lacking acceptable insight and analytic and evaluative ability. Style and language usage with weaknesses (e.g., clarity, coherence, grammar). Overall quality shows noticeable deficiencies.<\/p>\n<p>.5-1 points. Unacceptable work at graduate level. Shows lack of understanding and\/or competence in several of the criteria<\/p>\n<p>0 points.
