As a health worker in India, I have seen a lot of cases of corruption in the healthcare field by providing extra care and benefits to VIP’s and working in private clinics even if it is against the law for a government health worker. I would like to add something to this point. The actual root cause of this situation is their salary. Health workers in India are not well paid as much as in Canada or other countries. The reason being over flooding of health workers and also, less availability of resources. Being a dentist back from India I have practiced there and found that patients are not ready to pay off their bills. There is no dental insurance in India which government is providing. Also, it is not a necessity for anyone to get their health insurance done. This could possibly be the main reason why health workers have to make an extra effort to earn their livelihood and make some money. Below is the link of the article which tries to describe the condition of health workers in India

As cited by Huges et al (2014) “Leadership development is a process, one that depends on your ability and willingness to learn from your experience” (p. 221). As taking critical thinking into the account, it is necessary to think critically on the part of the government on how to amend these problems and strategically take each step to eliminate the root cause of this problem. It is possible by involving Transformational Servant Leadership in critical thinking to take strategic steps to solve many problems of an organization.

References:

Yadav S., Rawal G., (2016).
