Ideas that were taught when I went to school are no longer taught. Technology is taking over at an incredibly fast rate. The world is also changing extremely fast, causing teachers to need to change as well. I believe that this becomes difficult for some people in education. There are many teachers, in my school and I’m sure in other schools, who are hesitant to change. Part of the biggest problem with our principal implementing new ideas is that most of the staff is resistant to the change. Their defense is that they are the experts because they have been teaching for longer than the new principal has even been alive
(Sadie, 2018). I can relate to this, for my personal growth. I will take this new word press for example, and press books because initially as most of us I was feeling overwhelmed with this new way of learning. I spent more time learning about this, and still feel confused at times than learning the course. I wonder if your teachers are feeling the same way, learning new technology isn`t as easy as it may seem. The hesitancy may be more related to feelings of low confidence in learning the new technology. While the new teachers are well prepared the older teachers may not be as ready for this. Personally I work with a lot of older nurses, who are not used to assessments on the computers, they like their paper and have to take extra training to learn the assessments which they have already been doing for years and years but just because technology is changing they now have to re-learn everything. When you have been doing something for years and someone comes in changing your ways, it can be frustrating and affect your confidence.

Education is constantly changing.
