Interlibrary loans are an important part of Alloway Library’s service to scholars. Last week we were finally ready to launch our new, online ILL request forms and have updated all the pertinent links on Alloway Library’s website to make this service better.
For most users, the switch should be fairly seamless and invisible in terms of functionality. Do start at TWU.ca/library if you may need to update your bookmarks.
One new feature in particular is a key improvement over the old ILL pages. Now, users will have detailed – and understandable – information on the status of their ILL request. including better tracking information, due dates, status descriptions.
As well, the new ILL forms have a different look, which give our users more flexibility and choice with specific request templates depending on the type of ILL material being requested (e.g. book, article, book chapter, conference proceedings, theses or other publication type.
