As an emerging researcher, I am curious about and interested in what promotes deep learning, what works for students, and what supports educators.  If principles for developing lifelong learners and inquiry-oriented leaders have been identified, I wonder how educational beliefs and practices in K to 12 and higher education are shifting and evolving.

  • How does the enactment of Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies in teacher education shape pedagogical commitments, beliefs, and practices?
  • How can post-secondary institutions establish better connections between formative and summative assessment within courses, and increase the value of AfL practices?
  • In what ways does Imaginative Education pedagogy deepen learning in the post-secondary setting?
  • What changes for learners when educators use the Spiral of Inquiry as a framework for collaborative professional learning?
