My name is Palvi. I am from Samrala, Punjab, India,\u00a0but currently based in Abbotsford, BC. I am taking this course because I want to explore my creative side while learning how art, drawing, and design can enhance thinking and communication, even in scientific fields like mine.<\/p>\n

A powerful concept or idea from Ralph Ammer\u2019s TED talk is that drawing is not about creating perfect art, it is all about making sense of the world. I like the way he mentioned that drawing is just like thinking out loud and perspective at it. I truly agree with how he interlinked science with structure, formulas and data. Another interesting idea was the connection between thoughts. The way he described the importance of one line according to the meaning was so perfect. This talk shaped my perspective or opinion on drawing. I used to think it was only for artist people. He showed that everyone can draw as it helps us to pause, reflect and engage with the world. The main idea that I will like to explore is using drawing as a source of mindfulness, building connections and reflection.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
