Think how you can refer back to this later in your academic experience to see how well you did with a set of goals established in the first week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a whirlwind of a week! I made it through O-Week and even managed to make a few new friends!<\/p>\n<p>Now that I have a few weeks under my belt, I think it\u2019s a great idea to set a few goals for myself for the semester.<\/p>\n<p>My Goals:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use the calendar in my phone: put in assignments, Spartan games, personal activities<\/li>\n<li>Set aside study times: mark in calendar<\/li>\n<li>Call my parents once a week: set a specific time<\/li>\n<li>Introduce myself to a professor: book office hours<\/li>\n<li>Stay on top of campus events and Spartans games with the app: use the track feature on the app calendar to find specific events<\/li>\n<li>Go to 4 events this semester<\/li>\n<li>Walk through the library to familiarize myself with the aisles<\/li>\n<li>Learn about the different clubs on campus<\/li>\n<li>Go for a session in the Learning Commons<\/li>\n<li>Get to know the campus \u2013 take lots of walks and look at the map on TWU Guides<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Image Credits: <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Did_not_expect_it_would_ever_happen_there.jpg\">Wikimedia Commons image<\/a>\u00a0licensed <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/3.0\/deed.en\">Creative Commons CC BY-SA<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Note: here is an example of an orientation week artifact.
