Blog 1- Introduction
Hello everyone, I am Palak from India. Coming from a dental background, it was not until Dr. Doug’s counselling did I realize that my passion lies in treating, making close connection with the patients and creating a whole new family to serve the community. Honestly speaking, I was in the dilemma of whether or not I should continue with dentistry. I was on the verge of quitting it but lessons from MAL gave me a vision, a motive of serving and taught me to bring out something positive in each profession.
As I sail through this course, I can see myself changing, or I would say “transforming”. I always felt lack of experience pulled me down, that I am unable to participate because I din’t know much about professional setting. However, my perspective has totally changed. I know I will do a lot better now when I have so much to learn from my peers, professors, books and most importantly your shared experiences; experiences from all fields, be it teaching, business, non-profit or healthcare. I may not be able to relate these teachings at this point of time, but I know its value in future.
I will always be grateful for this opportunity God has given me to learn from such a supportive class. Looking forward to knowing you all!

Hi Palak,
I find your post! And I really need to say as your friend I have found much more than what you think of yourself. You are patient and warm-hearted, and I am sure they are also the reason which makes you good at treating. And please do not underestimate the virtue of patience which most of the people in this digital age do not possess. I believe the true power of patience lies in the ability of an individual to be able to stay calm and logical in the even chaotic situation. And you have this power. I am trying to gain this virtue. With you acting as the model in my life, I am being more positive. I can always find hope and gain strength from our friendship, and I wish you could find confidence and trust as well.
