Ruth,
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You have made such a powerful connection between course concepts and your experience as a mother. Parenting is such a concrete example of servant leadership, with the focus on the development and growth of our children/those who follow, as well as the challenges related to discerning the best path forward.
As a mother who also struggled to feed a tiny baby who had difficulty feeding, I know the emotional challenges that result. The debates around breastfeeding and formula are intense — with both sides making such passionate claims that it can be challenging to walk your own path for your specific child. I admire your courage to make your own choice, encourage you and your husband to rely on the fact that you and your baby are the experts on what your little one needs, and to know this: it is so deeply evident from your story that you both love your baby. You are good parents and exactly what baby Macy needs.
