Nancy has been a member of the TWU community for over 10 years and has almost 30 years of experience in teaching and coaching. Nancy is currently working as an Academic Coach and specializes in providing personal strategies for time management, study skills and overcoming academic anxiety. She enjoys working alongside students to provide support to reach their full potential during their academic journey at TWU.

Jessica Gao

Originally from China, Jessica Gao pursued her studies in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Simon Fraser University. 

At Trinity Western University, Jessica serves as an academic coach, where she collaborates with students to refine their study techniques and cultivate a more effective approach to learning so that students are empowered to maximize their academic potential and achieve their educational goals.

This workshop details the specifics of using the APA format. It will cover setting up the different components of a paper, as well as how to format headings, figures, references, citations, and more. It will also deal with citing several different kinds of sources and a number of fringe cases – such as how to cite sources with incomplete bibliographical information.
