Summarizing Work
This leadership foundation course is a landmark for leader and is very basic requirement. As an individual I have improved a lot regarding many aspects after taking this course as follows:
- The very first thing I learned is leadership doesn’t mean giving away orders and doing work well on time rather it is a bond, a sense of feeling and a relation a leader has to maintain with co-workers for their growth and survival in an organisation. Knowing about ethical leadership is an enlightenment stone for me and regarding preserving rights of employees.
- I happen to learn many new methods of how to deal with organisation growth with different flow charts and making policies and reading other blogs help me to know better about other’s ideas.
This very quote explains it all that what a leader should do and should know the effects of their actions on the people and organisation well.
There are many new aspects I have read during the course but the two of them that impacted my practice the most are:
- Principles of leadership – Earlier I didn’t knew that for leadership certain principles are required and that too uphold utmost importance. The way it has been classified in Northouse (2016), helped me in distinguishing them and knowing about how to apply as a leader while preserving employers rights.
- Conversion of a leader into transformational servant leadership – This course helps me to establish difference between both and to choose better option which is but obvious transformational leadership because it not only allows to lead but also to serve people for their betterment and growth. There are many criterias upon which these two kind of leadership are very different in practicing from each other.
The sense of being a leader is what I learned from this course. There are many more things which I learned as from Light from many lamps and also reviewing other’s posts helped me to know more about what they think how a leader can be and get to know more about it.
