Footer Widgets

Another way to personalize your site is via the widget area at the footer or bottom of every page. In the TWU Hearts theme, these are located in the dark region below all of your content.

The template comes with some starter widget content, but you are welcome to make any changes to it.

The left widget is an editable text area to provide an introduction to the portfolio; it uses the [artifact] shortcode to list a current count of artifacts, and includes link to the About me page. The middle widget has a search tool; and the right side uses a special widget that lists one random artifact.

You can modify the widgets by looking in your WordPress Dashboard under found in the WordPress Dashboard under Appearance -> Widgets.

This theme has three footer widget areas, each can be filled with widgets

Each widget area can have it’s own stack of widgets. Toggle open each Footer Area header to see the widgets, and then toggle open any of the ones there to modify them.

The left side of the Widget editor screen offers more that can be added to your footer (and you can have more than 3). You might insert an Image in the footer, or a list of your recent blog posts.
