Unit 4: The gifts that life provides
Here’s wishing you a happy Monday!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I know for many of you it was filled with a lot of learning — and hopefully you squeezed in a little play time for yourselves as well.
If you haven’t already submitted the first draft of your Critical Thinking paper in the “Peer Review Forum” in Moodle, please upload it as soon as possible.
One of my favorite authors is educational philosopher Parker Palmer who wrote in The Active Life, “The joy beyond despair comes when we abandon the exhausting illusion of self-sufficiency and become the grateful recipients of the gifts that life provides” (Palmer, 1990, p. 51)
Life (and learning) are, after all, gifts! My hope for you during this week and this course, is that every now and then you will take a moment before diving into your learning and work and other life responsibilities, and remember the amazing gifts that life provides.
I consider teaching and learning with you one of those gifts!
