The Instructor Update disappeared so here is the Week 4 update
Greetings all;
First of all I want to thank you for persevering through the course thus far. I know it seems as if you are swimming upstream in everything you are doing, but believe me you are not alone.
It is difficult when the technology you operate in fails to prepare people adequately for interacting with the material for the course. Your challenges are equally mine.
In the first 2 weeks of the course I received just over 1100 pieces of communication regarding your challenges, what went wrong with orientation and trying to keep up with your material online.
I too feel the way you do. Your perseverance and patience is greatly appreciated as we walk through Strategic Leadership Development together, in all of your expertise in this area or lack thereof.
Introductory posts, BLOG post 1 and Assignment 1
I am making my way through grading the Introductory posts, BLOG Post 1 and Assignment 1 and hope to complete grading this weekend.
The challenges you faced in creating the posts and assignment caused me to get behind on the grading. I apologise and hope to be back on track by Monday.
Week 4
This week you will notice, there are no post leaders. Everyone posts their own thoughts as per BLOG 3 – Week 4 instructions. Three posts each from each member of your team
Team Assignment 1
Just a reminder. Team Assignment 1 is due in the PressBooks environment by 23:59:59 on October 28.
Team Assignment 2
Unfortunately, the WordPress Week 7 Team Assignment 2 instruction is incorrect. The correct instructions appear in your Learning Plan pdf in Moodle (Topic 0). Colin will have the WordPress material corrected later in the week.
For team Assignment 2, you require a completed consent form from the real time organization you wish to interview, before interviews begin. This is available in Moodle – Topic 0 – under the heading Team Assignment 2 Consent Materials.
The form only requires a signature and return to you before the interviews begin.
Once you receive the returned consent form, forward it to me via email so I can keep the record for TWU’s Ethics Review Board.
If your team decides to do a theoretical review by using public information gained from websites and other public documents, you do not need to obtain permission for the research you conduct. If you interview anyone in the organization you review, consent is required.
Again, thank you for your continued perseverance and patience.
