Response to Matt’s Response – Unit 7

Matt, thanks for taking the time to respond to my response! I appreciate that you took the time to clarify what you meant and answering my question by describing the steps you would take.

I see now what you meant by “working against others” in that you are actually protecting those whom you lead and keeping your eyes focused on the goal.

Interestingly enough, I just wrote a post on bringing healing in a team setting that you might find interesting, and which echoes many of your points about how to still be a transformative servant leader in the midst of a fragmented and emotionally fragile team.

My heart in transformative leadership is that all will succeed. However, I recognize that sometimes despite best efforts employees need to be let go either for their benefit or the benefit of the organization. I would hope that even in such a situation, with encouragement and care, the process would be transformational for them as well.
