Tianyu, your negative space study shows careful observation. Work with a smaller format edge and tone the ground right up to and including the lines/edges. To improve these, include smaller, more numerous pieces of negative space. This makes the composition more interesting while making it possible to see the spaces and forms more accurately.
Your gestures are a start to using expressive line, however, gestures do not follow outer edges. Outlining the outer silhouette edges keeps everything flat. Like a cookie cutter, following the outer edges keeps the drawing flat and static with no movement. These drawings can be improved by not drawing the outline, instead, starting your marks in the inside of the form. Start by indicating the line of action, with the internal skeletal form or with a moving web of line that begins to bulk out the mass.
I see no blind contours here. Do you remember blind contours? Did you view the video reviewing them? Please do 5 contours, photograph them and hand them in. When I see all 5 I will revise your mark.
Your blind contour drawing shows good observations but is much too fast. It looks almost like a gesture. The line is zooming around the edges and is not taking enough care, going slowly or sensitively enough. Very slowly search out the edges, going as slow as possible. Zoom in farther, and draw more detail, not just the outer edges.
