I chose to do this activity in the room I am staying in. I am currently visiting a friend, and doing this in the room I am staying in seemed the least intrusive to the other people in the house.

I found that looking for things around even just a room to take photos of proved rather easy. There is enough variety that I was able to take most of the photos in the list, even in a short 15 minutes. It did feel forced though, which I suppose in some ways it was. I ordinarily rely on friends to take pictures, even in social situations.

I did find that the photos that worked the best for me were the ones where I was taking them at an interesting angle. I think the angle can make a person look at everyday objects from a different perspective. I think the most inventive photo I took was the one with the small mug that says “Coffee. So hot. Right now.” The angle that I took the photo at, with the headphones on the floor behind and the box in the background made me think of a moving day. When I think of moving I obviously think of moving boxes, but then also of good music and coffee to get you through.
