Hi Chris,

I really enjoyed reading about the impact that Paul Baloche has had on your life. The way in which he inspires and shares with others his values of gratitude, encouragement and family through his social media platforms is impressive.

I especially relate to this expression, “Leadership can be difficult and leaders can often get caught up in their own problems, their own struggles and their own isolation”. In my work I provide end of life care, where people that I serve require my physical, emotional and spiritual presence everyday. If I am dealing with my own personal struggles then I am usually distracted and not giving my full attention to helping others through their own suffering. A big part of the self work and resiliency training I do is how when I walk through those doors onto my unit, I leave my personal problems and issues at the door. By doing this, I commit myself that day to being present for others and being the leader I need to be for my colleagues and team.

It must be motivating to not only have Paul’s leadership through social media but to have his mentorship and friendship in your life. By practicing those values of gratitude, encouragement and family you are making a big impact in the lives of those around you as well.
