Sponsored by the School of the Arts, Media and Culture (SAMC) and the Media + Communication (MCOM) program at Trinity Western University, Frame it Forward encourages young storytellers to use film as a tool for impact. This contest gives students the chance to share their creative voice, gain recognition, and inspire others through visual storytelling.
This year’s theme, “Creating Positive Change,” challenges you to look for good, whether big or small, and bring it to life through your lens.
Tell a story that encourages or sparks action. Show how creativity and compassion can move the world forward, using your unique voice.
At Trinity Western University, the Media + Communication program is all about creativity and purpose. We are surrounded and influenced every day—for better and worse—by video, stories, social media, and constant connectivity. We believe media has the power to shape culture, tell truth, and inspire change — and that’s exactly what our students do.

The Media + Communication program at Trinity Western University helps you learn how to tell stories that make an impact. You’ll build skills in writing, speaking, and visual communication—from film and photography to social media and design. Our courses encourage creative thinking and real-world learning, preparing you to communicate with confidence in today’s media-driven world.
