For this painting, I did not have time to fully follow through with my goal, but the vision was to use the first paper cutout as a stencil for paint dabbed on the second paper that is backwards and off centre, and then I would cut out the second paper with the second person’s map and have a third paper underneath. I did not get to those steps, but I do really like the idea and I think the final product conveys the story that I told about the backyard in my childhood home.
