Hand Practice

In this drawing, I explored what different people experience with limbs. The goal of the drawing is to communicate a welcoming and connection between people who have difficulties in life. We are all people and should all be considered equal in value.

I played with atmospheric perspective in this drawing by unusually putting cool colours in the front and warm ones in the back. The reason for this was to make the front hand move backwards and the back hand move forwards so that they appear to be moving towards each other. It also happened to work well because the black prosthetic arm is more likely to have blue highlights and undertones than a human hand (I know that hands can have blue in them, but I’m just saying *typically*)
