Oops, I apologise for skipping the introduction.
My name is Simarjit Shergill. I am a physician ( Geriatrician) , living in Surrey BC, and working across the border in Bellingham, Washington. My husband is a physician too. I have 2 daughters, 19 and almost 12.
There are a lot of things I would love to do in my spare time, but to be honest I don’t have much of it! In my few leisure moments I like to read , and go for walks.
This is my first experience with online learning, it is daunting but exciting ! As I said in my earlier post, I am a clinician. I am not an expert in research, but rely on it a lot in my professional life. I hope to come out at the other end of this course a much more informed user.
Hi Simarjit,
Welcome to LDRS 591! I am glad to see that you have connected with the course site. Is this your very first online course? Have you taken the LDRS 500 course yet? I am looking forward to working with you over the next 10 weeks as we explore scholarly inquiry.

Hello Dr Strong
Thanks for the welcome message! Even though I have been a student for a long time, the MA(Lead) is my first foray into the world of online learning. This is my second online course, I took LDRS 500 just prior to this. I still consider myself very new to online learning ( Colin has been a big help)
Like I mentioned in my earlier posts, in my clinical practice I do come across a lot of research, but I am learning a lot about the research process in this course. I am excited to be exploring scholarly inquiry!
Thanks once again.
