Response to Rob Tegelberg’s response to Sally’s post
I like your idea of reframing by including the staff members in decision making. I want to add on to your thought of inclusion of everyone. In respect to the educational field, what we often tend to forget is the inclusion of the children on which the success of the institutional vision depends. Student’s perception helps in the improvement of educational quality. Involvement of students along with teachers will help to identify different objectives and viewpoints to develop the best possible strategy. (Hughes et al., 2014, p.146) For instance, Stacy Kaye told us in LDRS 500 that she came up with an idea of developing an escape room with her students which helped in their overall development, better engagement, and critical thinking.
To conclude I would say external interventions can only be successful if we understand how promising those changes are for the students on which the progress of the academic system depends.
