Learning activity 3.1 (Senge’s Five Disciplines)
Senge describes five principles which are the soul of any organization and is a gist of any organization to develop and to manage every issue encountered in the process of development. Senge’s laws are clear and straight.
Being a part of the organization I’m working nowadays. I saw so many flaws regarding thinking of long-term achievements and not doing anything for what is happening now. In my belief as per human nature we spend a lot of time thinking about what we want to achieve on a long-term basis and as a result we forgot what we need to do now. This is what happening to our organization. The primary goal of our leader is to build more branches of the dental clinic and open at every possible location so as to expand it but in this long-term process, they used to ignore building trust relations with employees and a familiar environment in the office. For any organization to be successful it is necessary to have promising employees on whom you can leave everything knowing they will do best. In my opinion, knowing and foreseeing long-term goals and focusing on maintaining short-term problems can help achieve the ultimate goal in a better way.

No doubt they follow shared vision as stated in the first law of Senge. Everyone in the company is allowed to describe and put on their ideas and also gave a warm welcome to every newcomer with flexible orientation. According to Senge, P. “when an organization starts to build a Shared Vision with its team, an important aspect is to have better conversations with its team members (Team Learning). In addition, if an organization starts to work on System Thinking to identify common problems, its employees need to understand the Mental Models. Since all disciplines are linked to another, it does not matter where to start. It does not mean that the organization has to focus on all disciplines at the same time. By focusing more narrowly on one or two disciplines and work to the others will gain competitive advantages for the organization”. This is exactly what I experienced when I started working. Clarity in vision and following team involvement involves a greater part for the upliftment of the organization.
