Samson’s thoughts on TSL in healthcare
Thank you for your post in relation to healthcare. I can relate to many aspects of this post in my field of education. There is often a high need for resources and a lack of money or time to effectively provide those resources in the classroom. Some of the most important decisions regarding budget are being made by people not working in a classroom environment. Because of this, there is sometimes a gap in how the budget is made, and what is necessary in the classroom. I appreciate the part of your post where you write that an important component of servant leadership is acts of selflessness and putting others first. This is also important in education and sometime results in teachers who are overworked and overtired as you also experience in health care. I agree with the need in a TSL model to build each other up so that even in challenging times, people will feel valued, heard, respected and an important part of a bigger picture.
Thank you for your thoughts! Very relatable and thought-provoking!
