Response to HC1 Leader Post 7.1- Jessica’s Leadership Journey
Introduction to totally new ideologies and perspectives is one thing and adopting it is another. Thank you so much for introducing and defining what are the actual reasons for the massive success of Fraser health and home care health support along with better patient care.

As stated in Lepsinger (2010) “Cooperation may be our natural inclination, but it is much more fragile than competition”(p.24). The introduction of having conflicts within the organization is just like living with the heart having high cholesterol levels, which may give you heart attack anytime. Same, as with the organization, if the conflict is not resolved, it could lead to collapsing of the whole organization. So, this is a sensitive issue to deal with it.
In my opinion, one of the conflicts presented in your blog can be resolved by having group meetings on a weekly basis, gathering everyone and having a healthy conversation. Teaching everyone the agenda of having the same goals even with different job perspectives. There is an excellent example of conflict resolution given in the following video link ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3XUsBO53M4”.
As stated by Ellenbecker, H., C., Samia, L., Cushman, J., M., Alster, K. (2008) ” The home health care environment differs from hospitals and other institutional environments where nurses work. For example, home health care nurses work alone in the field with support resources available from a central office”. I believe that if home care also starts working with hospital care facilities, there would be better grounds for concern and care. As it leads to the immediate availability of resources and better patient care.
I’m working in an organization in the administration department where one employee is dependent on other regarding the status of payment collection. The reason is less output and use of the available time. If one of the employees is slow in working it affects the whole upper collection branch which is the reason for the generation of internal conflicts. The conflicts appear as due to that person everyone has to answer to the higher authorities of why our work is lagging. One the possible solution that I propose would be proper training and counseling them. It allows them to understand what is the actual importance of their work and how they are lagging in making minor errors. Also showing the difference between their work before and after would help employees to establish their importance and boost their level of motivation for action.
