I was kind of confused when you had said this would work for an illustration class. I had to think about that for a while because that surprised me. I think I know what you meant now. Were you referring to the earth because it looked like a cartoon? I don’t intend to keep it like that at all. I am going to draw with a bit of realism (not totally of course) from Google Earth. And I wouldn’t say that the text messages are cartoons either as I’m drawing something real from the reference in the shape it truly is. I felt kind of frustrated in that class because I worked on the planning and getting the reference and drawing proportions just right for several hours. It wasn’t a quick sketch.

I do plan to move the earth a bit and abstract it as you said, but I do feel the need to defend my work thus far. I worked hard on it, it’s meaningful to me, and I don’t think it was understood accurately based on the vision I have for it.
