Remembering Marge Friesen

In an email, TWU President Bob Kuhn announced today that Trinity Western University  pioneer, Marge Friesen died this morning. Marge and her husband Benno were among the first employees at what was then called Trinity Junior College. Benno served for many years as both an English professor and Dean of Students. Marge supported him by forming close relationships with many students, as well as leading and accompanying on the piano the singing groups that, in the early days, toured churches all across North America, promoting the fledgling two-year college. Benno and Marge related many stories about those trips, which were memorable, once in a lifetime experiences for many who traveled with them.

In his email, Kuhn stated, “Marge was unstinting in her love for Trinity Western and its students.”
