Each year our ACTS Librarian conducts an user survey to evaluate ACTS students’ needs with respect to the services and resources within Trinity’s library. The survey was conducted in March and there were 37 respondents. Below is a brief review of the results.
- 65 % of students are primarily dependent on electronic tools and resources.
- 41% find online journal resources “very useful” and 50% more quite “useful”, especially the recent upgrade to ATLA Religion Database PLUS.
- Respondents views of the usefulness of the print or book collections were not as positive as for journal articles; however, there is an growing interest in providing more e-books.
- Over 90% rated the overall library collection in meeting student research needs as “good” or “excellent”.
A popular comment regarding Trinity’s library was extending operation hours, particularly over weekends and the summer session.
